William Cahill, Jr., right, has been named the 2014 recipient of the Connecticut Association of Schools Distinguished Friends of Education award. Cahill, an active member, is one of the founding members of "The Benchwarmers" an athletic booster club serving Coginchaug Regional High School's athletic programs.
