Middlefield schedules Powder Ridge hearing for Thursday

The town of Middlefield has scheduled a public hearing to discuss and act on financing the remaining Powder Ridge debt.

The meeting is scheduled for Feb. 20 at 7 p.m. at the Community Center.

As previously reported in the Town Times, Middlefield has $1,390,000 remaining in debt from the purchase and sale of the Powder Ridge property. The Board of Finance has recommended that a $60,000 taxable portion of the debt be retired with money from the general fund and the remainder be put on long term financing.
