Fair wear

Durham and Middlefield residents will tell you that the Durham Fair is one of those events that goes on, rain or shine. Last weekend, however, took that challenge to the utmost with rain alternating with downpours on Friday and Saturday, followed by partly cloudy and humid on Sunday. Thus the most practical fair wear on the first two days included boots, umbrellas and slickers, as shown on this hardy duo of Durhamites, Cadence, top, and Sophia Hurlbert.
